Thank you for your interest in planning your event at the Ancient Spanish Monastery.
Our events coordinator is available to answer questions and help you plan your event. To assure personal assistance, please make an appointment with us by calling 305-945-1461.
The Monastery grounds have several areas in which to plan your special event, each with different features and benefits as previewed. 50% of fees are required at the time you schedule an event. The balance, $200 reception security deposit, $200 wedding security deposit, $200 caterer security deposit, and $200 caterer charge (non refundable) must be paid in full 30 days prior to the event. All deposits are refundable as per the terms of the contract (available at time of scheduling).

Questions about Weddings
Caterers, Florists, etc Allowed on property up to 3 hours before a reception (no exceptions). Florists are allowed on property 1 hour before event.
Chapel Bride and Groom must be baptized before a ceremony in the Chapel
Choosing an area Is determined by the number of guests
Dancing Permitted in designated areas only.
Horses & Carriage Permitted on the road and designated areas only.
Maps Maps are available to use with invitations. Personalized directions and maps on our web page may also be used.
Parking Parking is provided in front lot with security
Priests Bride is responsible for negotiating fees with Priest. If Catholic Priest is preferred, see Roman Catholic section.
Roman Catholic Weddings Roman Catholic weddings are not permitted at this site by the by Roman Catholic Church. This is not our restriction.
Scheduling Invitation time should be set for 1/2 hour before actual Ceremony. The Event date is secured with 50% deposit. (No verbal holds are allowed)
Security Deposit Required one month before the scheduled event. The Bride is responsible for informing the caterer about the security deposit. The Bride is also required to assign a person to oversee cleanup. Deposits will not be returned if cleanup is incomplete.
